The parents and leaders work together towards turning these boys into young men by developing their character, citizenship, personal fitness, and having lots of fun and adventure in the process!

Cub Scout Pack 30 is part of the Bee Cave District, which serves the Scouting needs of the Lake Travis ISD and Eanes ISD areas of the Capitol Area Council (a 15-county area surrounding Austin) of the Boy Scouts of America. Pack 30 was first established over 25 years ago, and our chartering organization is the Forest Trail Booster Club. Our main recruiting location is Forest Trail Elementary School, but membership in Pack 30 - as is true for ALL Cub Scout Packs - is open to any family, from any school, in any neighborhood.
Pack 30 currently consists of over 70 studentss from grades 1 through 5, broken up into Dens based on grade level:
- Tiger Cubs (1st grade)
- Wolf (2nd grade)
- Bear (3rd grade)
- 1st-year Webelos (4th grade)
- 2nd-year Webelos (5th grade)
Each Den ranges in size from 5 to 10 scouts, and arrange their own Den Meetings according to the schedules of all the Den Parents.
We conduct many events throughout the year, including summertime activities (Cub Scouting is a YEAR-ROUND program)! Some of our regular events include: Campouts (we put the OUTING into Scouting!); USS Lexington "live-aboard" adventure; NASA Camp-In; Parades; Pool Party; Blue & Gold Banquet; Cub Car Races; and of course, the famous Pinewood Derby and many more!
Our monthly Pack Meetings are typically the 4th Monday of each month at 6:15 PM at the Forest Trail Elementary Cafeteria, from September through April/May. We do not hold Pack Meetings during the summer, and in January and February, we have our big annual events (Pinewood Derby and the Blue and Gold Banquet) in lieu of Pack Meetings. Our Pack 30 Committee Meetings are typically the first Wednesday of each month - all parents and leaders are invited to attend, just please check our calendar here on the website for the details.
